Rock of Ages CD Arrives in Stores on July 7; J&R Signing Postponed

The signing of Rock of Ages' original Broadway Cast Recording at J&R Records on July 7 at 12:30pm has been postponed. A new date will be announced shortly. The CD, however, will still arrive in stores on July 7.

Written by Chris D'Arienzo and directed by Kristin Hanggi, the musical -- currently playing the Brooks Atkinson Theatre -- focuses on a young rocker hungry for his big break and a small town girl who meet in 1987 at a legendary Hollywood club facing its imminent demise. The production was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

The cast featured on the album includes Constantine Maroulis, Amy Spanger, James Carpinello, Adam Dannheisser, Mitchell Jarvis, Michele Mais, Lauren Molina, Paul Schoeffler, Wesley Taylor, Ericka Hunter, Jeremy Jordan, Michael Minarik, Angel Reed, Bahiyah Sayyed-Gaines, Katherine Tokarz, Andre Ward, Savannah Wise, Tad Wilson, and Jeremy Woodard. Spanger recently left the show due to vocal problems.

The track list -- featuring 22 songs made famous originally by bands such as Journey, Bon Jovi, Styx, Reo Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Foreigner, Twisted Sister, Poison, Asia, and Whitesnake -- includes "Just Like Paradise / Nothin' But A Good Time," "Sister Christian," "We Built This City / Too Much Time On My Hands," "I Wanna Rock," "We're Not Gonna Take It," "Heaven / More Than Words / To Be With You," "Waiting For A Girl Like You," "Wanted Dead Or Alive," "I Want To Know What Love Is," "Cum On Feel The Noize / We're Not Gonna Take It (Reprise)," "Harden My Heart / Shadows Of The Night," "Here I Go Again," "The Final Countdown," "Any Way You Want It / I Wanna Rock (Reprise)," "High Enough," "I Hate Myself For Loving You / Heat Of The Moment," "Hit Me With Your Best Shot," "Can't Fight This Feeling," "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "Oh Sherrie," "The Search Is Over," and "Don't Stop Believin'."
