PS Classics will record the original Broadway Cast Album for Sondheim on Sondheim on June 6 and 7. The album is currently available for pre-orders at www.psclassics.com, with an official release date to be announced.

This new music theater piece is presented by Roundabout Theatre Company, and is conceived & directed by James Lapine, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. It is currently running at Studio 54 through June 27.

The cast features Barbara Cook, Leslie Kritzer, Norm Lewis, Erin Mackey, Euan Morton, Matthew Scott, Vanessa Williams, and Tom Wopat. The creative team includes David Loud (music direction & arrangements), Michael Starobin (orchestrations) and Dan Knechtges (musical staging).

The show won a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical Revue, and is currently nominated for two 2010 Tony Awards, for Cook's performance, and Dan Moses Schreier's sound design.

The two-disc set will be produced by PS Classics co-founder, Tommy Krasker, with PS Classics co-founder Philip Chaffin, and Alan D. Marks and Stephen Moore, of The Marks-Moore Group, serving as Executive Producers.
