The Manhattan Theatre Club's production of George S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber's The Royal Family at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre has announced a second extension, and will now run through December 13.

Doug Hughes directs the comedy, which follows a famous family of stage actors. The production stars Ana Gasteyer (Kitty Dean), John Glover (Herbert Dean), Rosemary Harris (Fanny Cavendish), Jan Maxwell (Julie Cavendish), Tony Roberts (Oscar Wolfe), and Reg Rogers (Tony Cavendish), as well as Larry Pine, Freddy Arsenault, Kelli Barrett, Caroline Stefanie Clay, Rufus Collins, David Greenspan, and Henny Russell.

The creative team includes John Lee Beatty (scenic design), Catherine Zuber (costume design), Kenneth Posner (lighting design), Darron L West (sound design), Maury Yeston (original music), and Tand Rick Sordelet (fight director).
