Broadway history was made last night with the opening of Deuce. The show marks the first teaming of Tony Award winners Marian Seldes and Angela Lansbury, who play a pair of retired tennis pros in the midst of an uneasy reunion.

The show's director, Michael Blakemore, knows something about making history; he's the only person ever to win Tony Awards for Best Director of a Play and Best Director of a Musical (for Copenhagen and Kiss Me, Kate) in the same year.

Deuce author Terrence McNally already has four Tonys on his mantle, and recently earned a Drama Desk Award nomination for his play Some Men.
