 | | Darrell Hammond | Saturday Night Live star Darrell Hammond will make his Broadway debut as Vice Principal Douglas Panch in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, June 12-July 19. He will replace Mo Rocca in the role.
The musical is directed by James Lapine, with a book by Rachel Sheinkin and a score by William Finn. It was conceived by Rachel Feldman.
A 12-year veteran of the hit NBC comedy show, Hammond has appeared in such films as Epic Movie, Agent Cody Banks, and Scary Movie 3. He frequently appears in the nation's top comedy clubs.
In addition to Rocca, the Broadway production currently stars Aaron J. Albano, Stanley Bahorek, Jenni Barber, Jared Gertner, James Monroe Iglehart, Sara Inbar, Greta Lee, and Jennifer Simard.
