Tony Award winner John Glover will now play the role of Lucky in the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, to begin previews at Studio 54 on April 3, with an official opening on April 30. The production will be directed by Anthony Page. Glover replaces the previously announced David Strathairn.

As previously announced, the play will star Tony Award winners Bill Irwin and Nathan Lane as Vladimir and Estragon, with John Goodman as Pozzo and Matthew Schechter as Boy. The creative team includes Santo Loquasto (sets), Jane Greenwood (costumes), and Peter Kaczorowski (lighting).

Glover won a Tony for his performance in Love! Valour! Compassion! and recently received a 2008 Ovation Award for Secrets of the Trade. His numerous Broadway appearances include The Drowsy Chaperone, Tartuffe, Design for Living, and The Importance of Being Earnest. His additional television work includes portraying Lionel Luthor (father of Lex Luthor) on the TV series Smallville, and he currently appears on ABC's Brothers & Sisters.
