Mel Brooks will be in the Hilton Theatre lobby to autograph CD's following the Wednesday, February 27th matinee performance of Young Frankenstein. The signing will be open only to ticket holders for that afternoon's performance.
Young Frankenstein, which opened at the Hilton Theater on November 8, features music by Mel Brooks, book by Brooks and Thomas Meehan based on Brooks' 1974 film, and direction and choreography by Susan Stroman. The cast features Roger Bart as Dr. Frankenstein, Megan Mullally as Elizabeth, Sutton Foster as Inga, Shuler Hensley as the Monster, Christopher Fitzgerald as Igor, Andrea Martin as Frau Blucher, and Fred Applegate as Inspector Kemp.
The CD, which was released in December, also includes a special overture created for the recording as well as the song "Alone," sung by Mullally, which was cut from the show.
The show's creative team includes Robin Wagner (set design), William Ivey Long (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), Jonathan Deans (sound design), Doug Besterman (orchestrations), Patrick Brady (musical direction), and Glen Kelly (musical supervision).
