Rosie O'Donnell, Kathie Lee Gifford, LaChanze, Matthew Morrison, Jacob Young, and other stars help Sierra Boggess, Sherie Rene Scott and company celebrate the opening of The Little Mermaid.

On January 10, Disney formally unveiled its newest big Broadway musical The Little Mermaid at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. At the after-party, lovely Sierra Boggess, who plays Ariel, and the fabulous Sherie Rene Scott, who plays her evil aunt, Ursula, posed for the press.

















Here are two of the show's many handsome leading men: Sean Palmer, who plays stalwart Prince Eric...





















...and Norm Lewis, who plays Triton, King of the sea.


















The show's composer Alan Menken and Glenn Slater, who wrote the lyrics for nearly a dozen new songs, enjoyed their big night.





















The many stellar opening night guests included Rosie O'Donnell and wife Kelli...



















...Tony Award winner LaChanze, who's worked frequently with Norm Lewis...




















...the multi-talented Kathie Lee Gifford...






















... the gifted Matthew Morrison, who will play Lieutenant Cable in Lincoln Center's upcoming revival of South Pacific...



















...the ever-dynamic Lucie Arnaz, who attended with daughter Kate Luckinbill...




















...and Tony Award and Academy Award winner Joel Grey.






















Also on hand were a number of veterans of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, the theater's last tenant. Here's Steve Blanchard, who played the Beast for many years, with girlfriend (and former Beast co-star) Meredith Inglesby, who's a member of the Mermaid ensemble...



















...Bryan Batt -- now a star of AMC's popular series Mad Men -- was joined by good pal Patricia Clarkson...






















...Jacob Young, who stars as J.R. Chandler on the popular daytime drama All My Children...




















...and John Tartaglia, now the star of the beloved Disney channel series Johnny and the Sprites.




















Finally, here are Jodi Benson and Pat Carroll, who voiced the roles of Ariel and Ursula in the 1989 Disney animated film version of The Little Mermaid. Don't they look great in person!
