 | | Gerry Vichi | Gerry Vichi will take over the role of Sidney Bernstein in the Broadway musical Curtains on Tuesday, January 8. He replaces original star Ernie Sabella.
Vichi has appeared on Broadway in The Drowsy Chaperone, Annie Get Your Gun, Anything Goes, and Woman of the Year, and in The Wizard of Oz and A Christmas Carol at Madison Square Garden.
Curtains is directed by Scott Ellis, with choreography by Rob Ashford, and features a score by John Kander and Fred Ebb and a book by Rupert Holmes, based on an original book by Peter Stone.
The show stars David Hyde Pierce as Lt. Frank Cioffi, Debra Monk as Carmen Bernstein, Karen Ziemba as Georgia Hendricks, Jason Danieley as Aaron Fox, Jill Paice as Niki Harris, and Edward Hibbert as Christopher Belling.
