Full casting has been announced for the Broadway production of the John Kander-Fred Ebb-Peter Stone-Rupert Holmes musical Curtains, which will begin performances at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on February 27 and will open officially on March 22. The show, which played Los Angeles' Ahmanson Theatre last summer, will be directed by Scott Ellis and choreographed by Rob Ashford.

Ernie Sabella, who has starred on Broadway in Chicago and Sweet Charity, will play Sidney Bernstein. He joins previously announced stars David Hyde Pierce, Debra Monk, Karen Ziemba, Jason Danieley, Jill Paice, Edward Hibbert, John Bolton, Michael X. Martin, Michael McCormick, Noah Racey, and Megan Sikora.

In addition, the 31-member cast features Ashley Amber, Nili Bassman, Kevin Bernard, Ward Billeisen, Paula Leggett Chase, Jennifer Dunne, David Eggers, J. Austin Eyer, Matt Farnsworth, Patty Goble, Mary Ann Lamb, David Loud, Brittany Marcin, Jim Newman, Joe Aaron Reid, Darcie Roberts, Christopher Spaulding, Allison Spratt, and Jerome Vivona.

Curtains is set in 1959 in Boston during the pre-Broadway tryout of a new musical. When the leading lady mysteriously dies onstage during the applause at the end of the show, the entire company and creative team are possible suspects; their various motives must be sorted out by a local detective (Pierce) who happens to be a musical theater fan.
