It has been announced that the songs of Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx will henceforth be represented by Williamson Music, a division of The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization. Lopez and Marx are best known for writing the Tony Award-winning score for the musical Avenue Q, which is playing on Broadway at the John Golden Theatre.

"We are delighted to welcome Bobby and Jeff to our fold," said Williamson Music president Maxyne Berman Lang. "Their work is fresh and captivating and original. As songwriters, they evoke the wit and topicality of Broadway in its Golden Era but with a sensibility and point of view that are totally modern -- and utterly unique." Said Marx and Lopez, "We couldn't be more thrilled that the home of so many legendary musical theater writers is now going to be our home too."
