WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Five lifelong friends, two turbulent decades, and 30 classic Billy Joel songs collide in Movin' Out, a new musical conceived, choreographed, and directed by Twyla Tharp based on the songs of Billy Joel. The musical travels back to the days when almost anything could happen, and the nights when almost everything did. Winner of two 2003 Tony Awards! Best Choreography: Twyla Tharp; Best Orchestrations: Billy Joel and Stuart Malina. Also the recipient of the Outer Critics Circle Award, and Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Choreography (Tharp), plus the TDF/Astaire Awards for Best Choreographer (Tharp), and Tharp is also the recipient of the 2003 Drama League Award for Distinguished Achievement in Musical Theater.
