Four-time Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh returns to Broadway following a critically-acclaimed and sold-out Off-Broadway run in Irena's Vow!
Dan Gordon's play is the uplifting true story about one of the most courageous and unsung heroines of World War II. During the German occupation of Poland, Irena Gut Opdyke (played by Feldshuh), a Polish Catholic, was forced to work as head housekeeper for a very prominent Nazi major. Over a two year period of service, Irena would risk her own life in order to save the lives of twelve Jewish refugees whom she secretly took under her care. Michael Parva directs.
A limited number of front row tickets will be available for purchase at the box office of the Walter Kerr Theatre for $25.00. Tickets are available the day of the performance when the box office opens and will require a valid student I.D. (2 tickets per I.D., cash only).

Review: Don't miss Irena's Vow! by Diane La Ruebylaruediane2000
I saw Irenas Vow during Holy Week/Passover, and it really set the tone for the holiday.
Tovah Feldshuh is remarkable, she becomes the young Irena before our very eyes. She is sure to receive a Tony nomination.
This would be a wonderful play for high schoolers to see, the idea of how the courage of one woman can make such a difference would resonate with them.
It was very moving when the real daughter of Irena came onstage and answered questions from the audience.
Dont miss this amazing show!
