WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
High explores the universal themes of truth, forgiveness, redemption and human fallibility. When Sister Jamison Connolly (Kathleen Turner) agrees to sponsor a 19 year-old drug user in an effort to help him combat his addiction, her own faith is ultimately tested. Struggling between the knowledge she possesses as a rehabilitation counselor and a woman of religious conviction, she begins to question her belief in miracles and whether people can find the courage to change.
A $26.50 ticket will be reserved for the first row for all performances, for audience members ages 17-21. Interested ticket buyers can purchase these seats at the Booth Theatre box office only, the day of the performance. There will be a limit of two tickets per person.

wrong address
this was a very good show with good performances especially Evan Jonigkeit. i am glad i got to see it before the closed. while i loved Turners voice she sometimes slurred her words together making it difficult to understand.
I wonder if this show would have been able to run longer if they had selected an off-broadway address.

SAD, Sad, sad...
This is sad news, HIGH closes April 24! Surely, i would love seeing it again before it closes. To me, this is one of the best, most meaningful, memorable plays to have opened in recent years, but the critic have spoken: God is not welcomed on Broadway! Hey, thats what its all about. But since He can not be attacked, lets say, the play sucked, the acting was not good. So sad. I repeat what I previously said, no retractions, only time will tell: Kathleen Turner, Evan Jonigkeit, Stephen Kunken: A fabulous cast, great show. Looking forward to reading the excellent reviews. This show will run a long time and win many, many awards! More can be said, but not needed. Evan is a surprise, a treasure, for sure we will be seeing more of this very talented actor!

It's easy to see why Kathleen Turner, with her aged-whiskey voice and gift for playing pugnacious, would be drawn to the role of Sister Jamison Connelly, the tough-talking, fiercely engaged drug counselor at the center of Matthew Lombardo's new play High, now at Broadway Booth's Theatre after a trio of successful regional runs. Indeed, Turner proves to be perfectly cast as this headstrong bundle of contradictions, carting along a horrific past -- one that is slowly teased out by Lombardo's taut script and Rob Ruggiero's focused direction.
Lombardo, the author of Tea at Five and Looped, has made no secret of his own eight-year meth addiction, so it's not surprising that he proves to be so w[...]
