WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Tovah Feldshuh (winner of the 2003 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance and Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Lead Actress) stars in Golda's Balcony, a riveting portrait of Israel's fourth Prime Minister (1969-1973) written by William Gibson (The Miracle Worker). From the pogroms of Russia to the halls of Knesset, the story of Golda Meir is the story of the state of Israel in the 20th century.

Tovah Feldshuh is a miracle worker in William Gibson's newest piece, Golda's Balcony, a bioplay about the life of Golda Meir. Gibson famously wrote The Miracle Worker, which premiered on Broadway in 1959 starring Anne Bancroft and Patty Duke, yet he has likely never enjoyed a more perfect match of actress and material than he does in Tovah Feldshuh as Golda Meir.
