WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Colin Quinn brings his new one-man show Long Story Short to Broadway! Jerry Seinfeld has directed the work, which premiered Off-Broadway at the Bleecker Street Theatre this past summer.

Comically channeling the demise of great world empires, Quinn uses his "articulate brand of comedy" in taking audiences through an uproarious history of the world in 75 minutes.

From his personification of Caesar as the original Italian mobster to his complaints about Ancient Greece and Antigone giving way to Costco and Snooki, Quinn is at his satirical best, taking on the attitudes, appetites and bad habits that toppled the world's most powerful nations. Colin Quinn Long Story Short proves that throughout human history, the joke has always been on us.

WHAT ARE CRITICS SAYING?

In his new solo show,
Long Story Short, now at Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre after a summer run at 45 Bleecker, former Saturday Night Live star Colin Quinn sets out, in his fashion, to tell the whole history of the world in a mere 75 minutes. Talk about your tall orders!

Good in a club-unsubstantial fare for Broadway
The very talented Colin Quinn and his solo act are frequently very funny, this type of thing is really better suited to a comedy club then a Broadway theatre. His rapid-fire history lesson is rather unsubstantial in a Broadway theatre at a 98 dollar top ticket price in these hard economic times.

Comical History Lesson
Colin Quinns history of the world in 75 minutes was very funny as Quinn was able to weave the past and present into an explanation of why we are the way we are. The first half is funny but the second half really picks up and pretty much had me laughing non-stop. Go in with an open mind and a sense of humor as he analyses just about every culture and religion around. If you are not familiar with Quinns style, keep in mind that at times he does speak fast so pay attention or you will miss something funny.
