Clybourne Park

Offensive, racist, sexist, and not funny

A lot of hype and no real substance. Vulgar and pessimistic--- we are hit over our heads with the conflict and the problem... But no possible answers or solutions are remotely offered. There is no real humanity in any of the characters-- they seemed so cartoonist. In fact, the people around me at theater shook their heads and looked at each other at the end of the play as if to say: is this it?

See it

Clybourne Park deserves the accolades. What a thought-provoking play, performed by an uniformly talented cast under Pam MacKinnon's superb direction. See it now..
