WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Winner of a 2001 Tony Award for Special Theatrical Event! With a cast of 60 brass, percussion and visual performers, Blast! is a unique combination of music, theater, dance and exciting visuals. Cast members perform high-speed, intricately choreographed drill routines to both original and classical music. Industrial scaffolding, poles, walkways into the audience, and pyrotechnics provide the backdrop for the show's incredible sound. James Mason directs.

In recent years, theater audiences have been subjected to such questionable spectacles as Stomp, Thwack, and Squonk. Although appropriately named, these have left much to be desired in the way of entertainment. The newest addition to the list of one-named shows is Blast!, which has taken up residence at the Broadway Theatre following the demise of Miss Saigon. It's a pleasure to report that this one is appropriately named as well, but for very different reasons. Blast! really is a blast for audiences who want to experience the exciting world of drum corps first hand.
