Synopsis

Set in a rural Alabama town in the 1930s, To Kill a Mockingbird, poses some of the most difficult questions of human existence and provides no easy answers. It is up to the "innocent" bystander, each member of the audience, to discover the truth.

Inspired in part by the case of the Scottsboro Boys, this powerful slice of our nation's history is also a tender story of a father's love for his children and the love they give in return.

A New England premiere at WFT in 1993, Mockingbird returns to challenge and enthrall a new generation.
