TheatreZone presents The Visit by Friedrich Durrenmatt in their fifth annual presentation of free outdoor bilingual theater with performances in English and Spanish. In Durrenmatts very dark comic tale, billionarie Claire Zachanassian returns to the destitute town she left in disgrace eons ago, bent on exacting retribution on the true love who betrayed her. At first the indignant Guellenites remember that Goethe stayed in their town and Brahms wrote a quartet there. They talk importantly of Europe's culture and humane traditions. But when they start buying new shoes, expensive brandy, minks, cars; and all on credit, there is only one way to meet the bills....
