Synopsis

Watch five magic beans sprout into a world of adventure at WFT! What waits for Jack at the top of the towering beanstalk? Fee-fi-fo-fum… Young and old alike will roar with laughter at the antics of a crazy cast of characters, drawn from the classic figures of Commedia dell'arte. A form of theatre that arose in 15th century Italy, Commedia features stock characters, exaggerated masks, padded costumes, and a style of acting based on broad physical comedy. Its zany, no-holds-barred, "slapstick" style can still be found today in animated cartoons, situation comedies, the films of Charlie Chaplin, and professional wrestling. Sophisticated enough for middle school; great fun for all ages.

Appropriate for audiences 5 and up.
