WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Following the success of its premiere production, The Spontaneous Theater Project presents David Ives' ten-minute play Sure Thing in several coffee shops in the Boston area. In the one-act, two everyday people, Betty and Bill, meet in a cafe and try to find their way through a conversational minefield on their first chance encounter. Luckily for them, the ring of a bell gives them a second chance to fix their false starts, gaffes, and faux pas on the way to finally falling for each other. The show features newcomer Will Wheeler playing opposite Brooke M. Haney, who was recently seen in this summer's fringe hit Third and Oak: The Laundromat. It is directed by Chris Carcione, director of Spontaneous' premiere production, The Shape of Things.
