WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Gidget, Frankie and Annette beach party epics, and Hitchcock psychological suspense thrillers such as Spellbound and Marnie are given a shotgun marriage. Chicklet Forrest, a teenage tomboy, desperately wants to be part of the surf crowd on Malibu Beach in 1962. One thing getting in her way is her unfortunate tendency towards split personalities. Among them is a black check out girl, an elderly radio talk show hostess, a male model named Steve and the accounting firm of Edelman and Edelman. Her most dangerous alter ego is a sexually voracious vixen named Ann Bowman who has nothing less than world domination on her mind.

RE:Info about this Upcoming Show!
Heres some more information about Psycho Beach Party... all signs point to this being a great show! Counter-Productions Theatre Co. Brings One Hot Crazy Beach to Boston Boston, May 8, 2009. As we continue to celebrate Earth Day and pray! for economic recovery, it is clear that planet is getting both hotter and crazier. Life?s a beach but Counter-Productions Theatre Company plans to offer some summertime relief with their production of the outrageous beach romp, ?Psycho Beach Party.? This cult-favorite comes to Boston?s Piano Factory Theatre May 29 ? June 14. ?Psycho Beach Party? introduces America to Chicklet, a ?gee-wilicker? of a fifteen-year-old who has her heart set on learning how to shoot the curl with the randy surfer studs of Malibu beach. Unbeknownst to them, there seems to be more to Chicklet than meets the eye than jailbait; she has a portfolio of multiple personalities including Steve, an all-American male model, Tylene, a ghetto checkout drama queen and Ann Bowman, a dominatrix hell-bent on trapping the hipster hunks in a web of luau-lust. Director Meghan Hamilton brings her vision to the stage by taking a few tips from the drive-in days of B-movie horrors and beach blanket bingo?s. Think Frankie and Annette meet Hitchcock in a zany celluloid world seeping with dark, seedy and sensual undertones reminiscent of John Waters and David Lynch. ?Psycho Beach Party? is presented at The Piano Factory Theatre in Boston and runs from May 29 thru June 14. Evening shows begin at 8:00 P.M./matinees at 2:00 P.M. $18 adult at door, $15 student w/ ID, $15 for all advanced purchases.
