One Flea Spare is set in 1665, when a wealthy couple in London are ending their time of quarantine during the bubonic plague, two refugees break in and, in doing so, cause the quarantine to be doubled. For the next 28 days, these people from different worlds are forced to learn how to live, and eventually die, together. Social stratas and economic disparity quickly gives way to moral ambiguities and corruption of the soul in this haunting tale of innocence lost and passions found. John Sefel directs.
