The Arsenal Center for the Arts and the Jazz Composers' Alliance present a program of new music for the 18-piece JCA Orchestra by composers Darrell Katz, David Harris, Hans Indigo, Ken Schaphgorst, Warren Senders and Norm Zocher. Drawing on influences that span the history of jazz and encompass the world's musical traditions the Composers bring together a huge palette of sounds, structures and conceptions to make the JCA Orchestra's concerts unique "big band" experiences. This project is funded in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Conuncil, and by the Aaron Copland Foundation.
