Arlington Players presents Five: The Sum of Our Differences, five compelling new plays by five established and emerging New England playwrights. Each play balances the other, offering a range of emotions from hilarious to poignant.
Following 9/11 in NYC, a physicist turned restaurant critic takes his sister and her fiancé to the luncheonette that once served the perfect toast, but times have changed. A nurse finds new strength by confiding in a comatose patient. A couple recharges their marriage by re-inventing their first date. An older female poetry teacher and her younger male student are bound together by a nearly-fatal accident. A simple chat between two friends leads to unexpected consequences when long-harbored feelings bubble to the surface. These plays comprise Five: The Sum of Our Differences, an evening of new works featuring established and emerging New England playwrights Ginger Lazarus, Monica Raymond, Sue Brody, Debbie Wiess, and Christopher Lockheardt.
There is a playwright talk back after the June 15 performance.
