WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Delectable Delirious Delovely Dames is performed by Marjorie Conn with material by Dorothy Parker, Harold Pinter, Linda Eisenstein, and Marjorie Conn. Ed Stevens directs.

This provocative and funny performance piece is a theatrical collage combining narrative, interview, monologue and sketch. The eclectic mix also features other writer's words that highlight women's work, loves, sexuality and strengths and includes "Special Offer" by Harold Pinter, "A Telephone Call" by Dorothy Parker, and "Acme Temporary Services" by Linda Eisenstein. The 3 pieces written by Conn are "What's Your Line?," "Telephone Sex," and "Holiday Sick." What do they all share in common? As Cole Porter's lyrics go: "It's delightful, it's delicious, it's delectable, it's delirious, it's dilemma, it's de-limit, it's deluxe, it's de-lovely."
