WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Deep features Shakespeare & Company actors Robert Serrell and Stephanie Dodd as Will and CJ, an unmarried couple that wakes up one night to discover a bottomless pit in their backyard. The play takes place the next morning, as they venture out to ponder what it is, how it got there, and what they can do about it. Will has sacrificed all of his worldly treasures to the cavernous sinkhole -- including his prized 10-year collection of Playboy Magazine -- but to no avail. To CJ, it's a problem to be solved, but for Will, it takes on a much deeper significance. Michael Hammond directs Boston-area playwright Matt Mayerchak's black comedy about love, presented as part of the Elliot Norton award-winning Boston Theatre Marathon.
