Synopsis

Summer Theatre at Salem opens its 14th season with A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. The slave Pseudolus wants to win his freedom. His young master, Hero, promises him this very thing if Pseudolus can help him win the heart of the girl next door. It's a delightful romp through ancient Rome with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart.
