Kerry A. Dowling, Seth Rudetsky to Be Honored at SpeakEasy Gala

SpeakEasy Stage Company will honor Broadway veteran Seth Rudetsky and Boston-based actress Kerry A. Dowling at its annual benefit gala, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Boston, on Tuesday, March 23.

The evening will include performances from both honorees, as well as dinner, silent and live auctions, and additional performances from a roster of favorite local performers.

Rudetsky is a professional musical director and pianist who has played on Broadway for shows including Les Miserables, The Producers, The Phantom of the Opera, and Ragtime. He hosts a weekly Broadway interview called “Chatterbox” in New York City and is the Broadway host for Sirius/XM Satellite Radio. He was the vocal coach on MTV’s Legally Blonde reality show, and also appeared as an actor in the Broadway revival of The Ritz.

Dowling, who currently serves as Vice-Chairperson on SpeakEasy’s Board of Directors, has performed in numerous shows for the company, including Reckless, Jerry Springer – the Opera, The New Century, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Parade, The Women, Bat Boy, and Company, the last for which she was named Best Supporting Actress in a Musical by the Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE).
