Lea DeLaria and Judy Gold will appear next month at Boston's Huntington Theatre.
DeLaria will kick off the Huntington's new winter cabaret series Upstairs at the Calderwood, December 11-13 at the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts, with a program of Christmas songs. She is best known for her award-winning appearance in the Broadway revival of On the Town and recently released a new jazz CD The Live Smoke Sessions.
Judy Gold is Mommy Queerest, December 26-31, her new stand-up comedy act all about being a Jewish, lesbian, working mother of two. Gold received a 2006 Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance for 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, which also won a GLAAD Award for Outstanding New York Theater.
