WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
SpeakEasy presents the new American musical VIOLET directed by Paul Daigneault. A musical odyssey through the shadowy South of 1964, where the promise of miracles haunts a young woman whose scarred face masks a radiant spirit. Jeanine Tesori creates a powerful blues, folk and gospel-tinged musical score that sets the rhythm for this inspiring parable with book and lyrics by Brian Crawley.
