Chekhov's masterpiece is set in pre-revolutionary Russia.
A retired professor brings his young wife to his country estate against the wishes of the rest of the family. As the story unfolds, unfulfilled dreams and unrequited love are revealed. Uncle Vanya is regarded as one of the most influential theater pieces of all time.
