Written and performed by Martin Moran, The Tricky Part unravels a true story of sexuality, spirituality and the mystery of human experience. Between the ages of 12 and 15, Moran had a sexual relationship with an older man, a counselor named Bob, whom he'd met at a Catholic boys' camp. At the age of 42 he set out to find this man and to confront his past. Moran has transformed his story into a riveting, often funny and always surprising journey through a complex and deeply restorative work of art. The play offers no easy balm, and does not diminish the truth of the abuse he endured. But in its honesty, immediacy, laughter and depth of feeling, as Moran shares the story that will not let him go, The Tricky Part embraces everyone.
