The Long Christmas Ride Home, is the latest work by Paula Vogel, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of How I Learned to Drive. The play focuses on the familiar hilarity of a family Christmas gone wrong and the inescapable legacies of childhood. Driving home after a disastrous Christmas dinner, a quarrel causes the car to spin out of control on the icy road. As the family's fate literally hangs in the balance, each of the children steps out of the scene to tell the story of his/her adult life.
