WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Have you heard the one about the Jewish and Palestinian-American comedians? That's not a joke-it's the premise of Standup for Peace, an evening of comedy presented by Jimmy Tingle's OFF BROADWAY featuring performances by Scott Blakeman and Dean Obeidallah.
The two formed Standup For Peace a couple of years ago, when they organized shows to benefit "Seeds of Peace" which promotes understanding between Palestinian and Israeli teenagers by bringing them together in a summer camp in Maine. In addition to appearing at comedy clubs, colleges, theaters, Jewish Community Centers and synagogues together, Blakeman and Obeidallah have appeared together on MSNBC, and have been the subject of media feature articles.
Appropriate for ages 14+.
