SHOPPING AND F**KING is a play about addiction, dependency and human need, on many different sexual, emotional and metaphorical levels. In our modern consumer society, everything from food to drugs to sex has become commodified and negotiable. Even relationships have become heartless transactions, mere exercises in acquisition and control. People shop for sex like they shop for clothes, drugs and food.
