WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
This timely 1905 comedy is an explosion of words interweaving politics and religion into one masterful story. As today's news bites portray the similar social and political tribulations of turn-of-the century England, it's hard to believe Shaw didn't employ a crystal ball to pen this tale. Major Barbara is an animated examination of idealism versus reality that's as humorous as it is poignant.
