WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Maggie Cassella is best known in the comedy community for her frantically ranting current events comedy show "Because I Said So." Having been called "The Daily Show on Speed and Estrogen", Maggie gives voice (albeit a loud and fast one) to the frustrations of living blue in a sea of red as well as to the things that make many of us want to tear our hair out on a daily basis. Maggie also fled the the Country 14 years ago (along with her day job as an attorney) to live in Toronto and found welcoming arms in the TV, radio, and film industry. She hosted her own talk show called "Because I Said So" which aired nationally across Canada for four seasons. Over the years she's had the privilege of interviewing comedy legends such as Phyllis Diller, Bea Arthur, Joan Rivers, and talented actors and musicians such as Juliette Binoche, William H. Macy, Jude Law, Robert Downy Jr., Laura Linnie, k.d. lang and countless others. Maggie's favourite theatre gig was a three week run of the Vagina Monologues in Toronto with Margot Kidder. She was said by the director to have been the angriest vagina in the entire Toronto run. No surprise, as they say in the legal world "res ipsa loquitor" - the thing speaks for itself. That thing will be speaking daily starting in March on 1039 PROUD FM in Toronto as Maggie begins a stint as a daily radio host from 3pm-7pm weekdays. She'd love it if you'd tune in on line once they go on the air.
