Max Stein (LEA DELARIA), a washed-up 80s rock star, comes face-to-face with her past, in this musical comedy about love, redemption, and rock and roll. Twenty-two-year-old Samantha, wants her life back; Max is the only one who can save her. Will Max pull herself together and finally come through for the family she abandoned long ago? Her one remaining groupie is skeptical but her Life Coach has faith. Samantha and Max both find out whether or not old rockers can learn new songs.
