Merrimack Theatre presents Constant Star, by Tazewell Thompson. The struggle for human freedom. The right to equality. More than words on a page, they are the hallmark of one woman's magnificent struggle. Civil rights leader, journalist, suffragette, and mother, Ida B. Wells steps out of the past and into the spotlight in this tough, funny, and uplifting portrait of a passionate and powerful woman. Thompson weaves masterful prose with 20 classical Spirituals sung a cappella in five-part harmony.
