Pyrotechnic poet & Southern storyteller CD Collins & her band Rockabetty invite you to an evening celebrating the release of their new CD, Subtracting Down. Award-winning spoken-word performer CD Collins and claw-hammer banjo picker Yani Batteau draw from the rich, poetic traditions of gospel and mountain music while lovingly turning them inside out. Together with guitarist and percussionist, Teddy Ansbacher-Hunt, rock guitarist John Wilde, and groovemaster bassist John Minkle, they combine spoken-word with music to forge a new tradition. Come hear their new "uprooting their roots" album. The evening will also feature a performance by political satirist and humorist Jimmy Tingle.
