WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

As the sixth largest agricultural region in the country, Central Massachusetts is poised to play a big role in the distribution and processing of locally grown food. Embracing the region's rich farming tradition, a group of social entrepreneurs is determined to make a 21st century Food Hub in Greater Worcester a reality.

Join us for this Access Hanover Lyceum presentation, in partnership with the Regional Environmental Council to learn more about this exciting new development project contributing to building a greener more sustainable community.

A panel of experts will explore important questions like: What exactly is a food hub? Who will benefit? Where does a regional food hub fit into the broader issues of food justice, healthy living, climate change and a more resilient community? Most importantly, how will it affect you, the city-dweller, the rural or urban farmer, the business person, the theater-goer, the healthcare worker or the educator?
