This is the thrilling collaboration between BalletRox (home of the Urban Nutcracker) and Wheelock Family Theatre (Boston's award-winning professional theatre for every generation). The program includes three dance performances: La Favorita: A frothy tu-tu bonbon! Choreography by Anthony Williams & Music by Gaetano Donizetti. Peter & the Wolf: A family classic of symphonic introductions! Choreography by Sam Kurkjian (former Resident Choreographer of the Boston Ballet) with music by Serge Prokofiev. Ben's Trumpet: Based on the Caldecott Award winning book by Rachel Isadora; the story about a boy who discovers and savors the renaissance of jazz of his Harlem neighborhood. Choreography by Anthony Williams. Featuring the music of Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Lionel Hampton, The Orioles, Billie Holiday, Fats Waller & Louis Armstrong.
