All in the Family: Mozarts, The Haydns & Mendelssohns

The March program features two friends from the Boston Symphony, Hornist Rachel Childers and Trombonist Toby Oft. Ms. Childers performs her BCO debut with Mozart's Concerto #3 and Mr. Oft with the Trombone Concerto by Ferdinand David. We thought it would be fun to pair each concerto with a work by one of the composer's relatives or friends. So we have balanced Ms. Childer's Mozart with papa Leopold's "Toy" Symphony and Mr. Oft's David with an early Mendelssohn sinfonia.
