Jesse Lynn Harte to Star in Fiddlehead Theatre Company's The Little Mermaid
Fiddlehead Theatre Company has announced that Jesse Lynn Harte, a junior at Emerson College, will star as Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid for nine performances from November 27-December 6. The production will run at the Strand Theatre.
Based on the 1989 animated film and the original Hans Christian Anderson story, Disney’s The Little Mermaid features a score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Glenn Slater, and a book by Doug Wright. The musical's original Broadway production opened on January 10, 2008, with direction by Francesca Zambello and starring Sierra Boggess.
Fiddlehead Theatre’s production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid will mark Harte’s first performance with a professional theater company in Boston.
"I am beyond excited to have the chance to play my dream role of Ariel in The Little Mermaid with such a respected and welcoming company while still continuing my education at Emerson," said Harte in a statement.
