New Repertory Theatre at Arsenal Center for the Arts' production of Fiddler on the Roof, directed by original cast member Austin Pendleton, begins performances tonight, December 2, for a run through January 1.

Featuring a book by Joseph Stein and a score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, Fiddler on the Roof is inspired by Sholom Alecheim's stories of the milkman Tevye, who tries to hold on to "tradition" as the world around him and his family in the little village of Anatevka changes.

New Rep's production stars Jeremiah Kissel as Tevye, alongside Amelia Broome as Golde, Victoria Britt as Chava, Abby Goldfarb as Tzeitel, Sarah Oakes Muirhead as Hodel, Bobbie Steinbach as Yente, Patrick Varner as Motel, and David Wohl as Lazar Wolf.
