Bebe Neuwirth Set for Harvard OFA’s Learning From Performers Program

Bebe Neuwirth is set to take part in the Office for the Arts at Harvard (OFA) Learning From Performers Program with two events in October.

Leslie Woodies with host and moderate An Evening with Bebe Neuwirth, October 29 at 8:00 pm in the New College Theatre. Neuwirth will discuss her multifaceted career, with an emphasis on the dance roles that have garnered her two Tony Awards as Charity Valentine in Sweet Charity and Velma Kelly in Chicago. Both musicals were originally choreographed and directed by the late Bob Fosse, and Neuwirth will discuss the Fosse style and his creative process. Neuwirth will also be a guest teacher for Woodies’ “Dramatic Arts 124: Dance in Musical Theater” class, October 30 at 3:30 pm.

Neuwirth’s many Broadway credits also include Funny Girl, Fosse, Damn Yankees, and A Chorus Line. Her film credits include Jumanji, Summer of Sam, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, The Faculty, and Woody Allen’s Celebrity.
