The American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theater Institute for Advanced Theater Training has announced its 2011-2012 Season.

The schedule begins with Oni Faida Lampley’s Tough Titty (October 2-27). The piece, to be directed by Benny Sato Ambus and feature the Institute Class of 2012, centers on a young woman who discovers that, after being diagnosed with breast cancer, her illness alone may not be the toughest battle she has to fight.

The season also includes Peter Sinn Nachtrieb’s BOB: A Life in Five Acts (February 29 – March 2), a rags-to-riches-to-fame-to-fall-to-legacy-to-the-love-of-living-life tale, to be directed by Shira Milikowsky; Beckett Shorts (March 30 – April 7), an evening of short plays by Samuel Beckett to be directed by Marcus Stern; and Brendan Shea’s Nutcracker Turbo (and Other Love Stories) (May 23-26), a mash-up of two tales by E.T.A. Hoffmann that centers on a couple whose relationship is cracking at the seams, to be directed by János Szász.
