Tommy Tune to Be Honored at Boston Conservatory Gala; Chad Kimball to Perform

The Boston Conservatory will honor nine-time Tony Award winner Tommy Tune at the celebratory performance gala commemorating the grand opening of the “Hemenway Project,” a $32 million, 16-month-long renovation of the Conservatory’s theater building, Saturday, October 16.

As previously reported, 2010 Tony nominee and Memphis star Chad Kimball will perform at the event. The evening will also feature a wide range of music dance and theatrical numbers performed by Conservatory students, faculty and guests.

Tune has won nine Tony Awards for acting, direction, and choreography. His Broadway credits include Seesaw, Nine, My One and Only, The Will Rogers Follies, and Grand Hotel. He is also the recipient of the National Medal of the Arts, eight Drama Desk Awards, two Obie Awards, and two Fred Astaire Awards, among other honors.
